A friend just showed me Never Enough Hope, a 20-piece jazz ensemble from Chicago that opened for Lightspeed Champion lastnight at AV-aerie. I was actually wanting to go check it out, but went to see the movie Be Kind Rewind instead. Anyway, after hearing some of these tunes, I definitely regret not going to the show. Oh well. The album, The Gift Economy, is out 4/8 on Contraphonic.
